Samantha Haedrich is a designer and educator based in Portland, Maine. She is highly engaged with the local design community and serves as the Co-President of AIGA Maine. Samantha is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Design at Maine College of Art where she teaches courses in professional practice, independent publishing, information design and visual identity systems. Her classes have partnered with King Middle School, the Maine Audubon Society, the Portland Pirates, and Portland Trails. She also oversees MECA’s student design group Maine Type Lab. Since joining AIGA Maine in 2012, she has helped launch Maine’s annual Portfolio Day in partnership with MECA, and spearheaded AIGA Maine’s growing Mentorship Program. Born and raised in New Jersey, she received an MFA from Yale University and a BFA from Carnegie Mellon University.
